October 8th is World Sight Day. I know two people who are born nearsighted, with the help of a good ophthalmologist and a pair of eyeglasses with concave lenses. They are 50% myopic today. They  said, they begin wearing eyeglasses at the tender age of two years old. eyeglasses with concave lenses What is nearsightedness? The ability to see distinctly only things that are close at hand. The medical name is myopia. The popular name is nearsightedness. What cause nearsightedness? In a near sighted person,  the eye is usually long from the front to the back. The image of an object some distance away is not focused on the retina at the back of the eye, as it should be, but at a point in front of it. Consequently, the object cannot be seen distinctly. By squinting, the nearsighted person obtain a clearer image. However, to solve his/her problem properly, he/she needs to wear a pair of eyeglasses with concave lenses that focus with image correctly on the retina.

Tension headache relief

Image
About 70% of all headaches are tension headaches, they are called tension headaches because they result from excess tension of the neck and shoulder muscles. This type of headache is often easy to diagnose, because the muscles at the back of the neck are exceptionally rigid. Anything that causes a person involuntarily to tighten the muscles of the neck can produce a headache. Long hours of uninterrupted driving can do it, as well as intense concentration-such as watching television or reading a book. Read about common headaches here Usually, of course, it is the emotional stress of our daily lives that causes us to become tense. Sometimes a gentle massage of the muscles helps to relieve the tension, warm compresses also help. Aspirin relieves some of the pain, but usually not all. Muscle- stretching exercises such as those practiced in yoga can often bring at least temporary relief, but yoga exercises must be done gently to prevent damaging a muscle.
